Stylish Fall Clothing That’s Nursing Friendly!
Fall, my favorite time of the year! One reason being all the cozy clothing options. The warm, rich colors, the comfortable sweatshirts and layers. When I had Lillian last year (has it really already been a year?) it was so difficult to find cute clothing for the season that was easy to breastfeed in. Being a first time mama I didn’t really know much about nursing wear and how much of a difference it can make in your breastfeeding journey. I am so excited to share you with my go to brand for nursing wear. Momzelle makes clothing that’s cute, comfortable and practical.
About Momzelle
In the summer of 2007, Momzelle came to life when a new mom was looking for something to wear while feeding her baby. Christine felt there must be more options than tugging at layers or exposing her belly. Nursing clothing was almost unheard of at that time. She crafted her own innovative nursing top and was overwhelmed by the response of her midwife and mom friends! They all wanted one too! She quickly recruited her entrepreneurial-spirited brother, Vincent, and together they started Momzelle with one mission in mind: to help other women feel comfortable and confident breastfeeding in public. The product was so unique and innovative they were picked to pitch their idea on CBC’s Dragon’s Den, in 2009.
My Fall Essentials
Ladies this dress is a dream! The material is soft and works well as both a maternity and nursing dress. It’s an A-line silhouette from the waist making it very flattering. I choose the floral print for this dress, it’s dark blue with a pretty little floral pattern. It also comes in black as well! The top is easy to lift up and start feeding your little one. When I use this dress out in public in only takes seconds to start nursing. For sizing I would recommend to size up in this dress. I’m wearing it in XXL and it fits perfect.
I always feel confident when I wear this piece and I LOVE that. It can be hard sometimes to adjust to all the changes your body goes through both during and after pregnancy. That’s why I believe it’s so important to find pieces in your closet that make you feel beautiful. This dress does that for me!
Did you know that a hoodie can be nursing friendly? I was thrilled when I found this piece because I live in sweatshirts during the fall and winter months. It’s a game changer! The material is so comfortable and lightweight so you won’t overheat in it! Nursing in this sweatshirt is simple and easy to use. You just lift the front panel and start nursing. The design is simple and makes breastfeeding discreet. For sizing I would recommend to size up in this sweatshirt. I’m wearing it in XXL and it fits great!
This shirt is so beautiful and perfect for both your journey in pregnancy and breastfeeding! The shoulders have a wonderful lace detail on top of them. There is ruching under the bust area. I always loved this design during pregnancy as it was flattering with my growing baby bump. This style works perfectly for after baby as well as it is flowy and doesn’t cling. I chose this top in deep sea blue but they have two other color selections as well. This top looks awesome with a pair of jeans, boots, and a cozy sweater! Like all Momzelle pieces the front panel is discreet and simple to use. A lot of times people won’t even know you are nursing your little one. As for sizing this does run on the larger side. My shirt is an XXL, I would recommend going a size down.
All of Momzelle’s clothing is made of material that is high quality and lasting. They understand mom life can get a little messy so they make these pieces to last. That means you can wash and wear them over and over again. Also, no pilling with these pieces. Another aspect to note about Momzelle is there outstanding customer service. They are there to help you find pieces that will make you feel and look beautiful in.

OMG nursing will change all of your clothing options. I had a ton of summer clothes I wasn’t able to wear thanks to nursing. Every time I get dressed I always think “can I nurse in this”. I didn’t buy nursing clothes, they were always pricey.

It totally does change your outlook on your closet!

Omg. I wore bottom down all the time when nursing. It was horrible bc I worked. But it was easy and convenient for pumping. On the weekends, I had to wear all my stretched neck shirts. Wardrobe was my only part of nursing that was undesirable.

I have a few button down shirts as well! I think we all a few stretched out neck shirts our closet! haha Thanks for sharing Qujuao. 🙂

After 2 years of nursing i have tried MANY MANY different clothing options that are nursing friendly! you never realize how that takes over your life untill you are out shopping and frustrated because nothing is “nursing friendly” and cute.
